Learn to Create High Quality Concept Art

Building off of the principals covered in Digital Painting, this course is for students who wish to focus their efforts on developing a high-end concept art portfolio for the film and game industries. Assignments will focus on production illustrations for film and game pitches, environment illustrations, and color keys for lighting reference. An emphasis will be placed on originality, strong composition, and dramatic lighting.

Students will have the opportunity to tailor their work to the style of their choosing, from realistic to stylized. There will be weekly demos and in-class assignments as well as portfolio critiques and tips for working in the industry. This course is geared towards students who are looking to land their first concept job or for professionals who wish to strengthen their current skills.
